i would like to know about the concept of SIP server.
i am thinking to do a server which serve the phone call over
the internet to mobile phones. i dont know whether it would take place according to my plan & purpose. anyway i just want to know whether i can make a server for my purpose.
here i am describing my requirement:-

1. i want to make call from my mobile to other mobile without
paying any cost through my server. i hope a SIP Server
would work for me.
2. is there any services or server needed?
3. i am ready to implement a dedicated server for it?
4. what are the mediums needed for this purpose
like domain, static ip, broadband connection,Pc, softwares
etc..

please advice me if anyone knows about it..:)
