smps issue

hello friends

my name is vimalsanker from kollam... i need ur help ...
i have a system of old 7 years... still 5 days it did not on wen i try..... some times when i switch on ups the system will automaticaly start... but no display ..then i press power on button then the system will restart and the display come ..after some times the system goes to off like standby mode...then the cpu green button is blinking... then there is no way to off it or on it or restart it..the only way is to switch of ups and re on it...the led at motherboard is already on at all situation when the power is on....

if it is an issue of smps then can i repair it?
if i can't i wish to buy new smps ,then can i fix the new smps in my old system?
my system is belongs to AMD Athlon2000xp...and ..ASUS A7N266VM Mother Board..
can i fix new smps to this MotherBoard?
pls help me ......

hi,

your problem is may be due to a malfunction of smps. but we can't fix it blindly. this may also happens with a faulty motherboard. anyway, if the issue is due to smps then, you can replace it with a newer one. your motherboard will supports the newer one. keep going..........!!!!

I think it is not a smps issue.
There is a tiny short circuit anywhere in the motherboard.
If u can, put it from cabin, clean well, then fix it back.
You can also check the voltage of smps with a digitgal multimeter (Digital multimeter because it shows tiny variations).

I THINK THE PROBLEM OF RAM (CARELY TO REMOVE AND DROP RAM)
JUST CHECK YOUR RAM
ONLY SINGLE BEEP RAM OK
MULITIPLE BEEP RAM NOT OK
