check the following when you get the error.

go to the pc which you are going to access

and open services (RUN > services.msc )

check the status of service named "Server" and "computer browser"

please reply

If the hardware of all the systems are the same (or you have a few systems with the same hardware), here is a fool proof trick that I try :

1. take hard disk of any of the three error prone PCs (call it A) and put it in one of the non error prone PCs with the same hardware (call it B).

2. If the problem recurs in A, the hardware is to blame - check card and cable of A.

3. If the problem recurs in B, the software is to blame.
The quickest solution is to mirror the installation of the hard disk originally in B on to the other hard disk, and install it back in A,then change IP address.

Halo Hakeem,
your computer problem is due to the Network Worm.
As per Kaspersky database this is treated as KIDO
In Trend micro they are described this as Worm_Down.ad

Once 'Kido' is sticked your computer, it will try to stop the services "SERVER" (screen shot attached). This is the service which is supporting the sharing folder access, sharing printer. It will also stop Firewall services, automatic updates etc.
This is a very danger virus which is spreading through Pendrives, Network using the Autorun.inf

Please do the following practice to control the effect of KIDO

1.If you are using WinXp, disable the Systemrestore option in System property.
2.Disable the option Autoplay in GPEDIT.MSC (Group edit policy)
3.Start the Server service in services.msc
4.Restart the pc
5.Enable firewall in firewall.cpl (It will protect the PC from the Kiod attack)
6.Dont forget to install Microsoft updation MS06-040

More details go to the following link
